Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Installing your HEADER will not have any bad effects on the egr.

nope...egr is on the intake manifold so it wont affect it, also it's header not headers lol

            technically,
As long as your engine has more than one cylinder, than yes, "headers" is an appropriate term. The actual "header" is the individual pipe, tuned for low restriction, that matches to the exhaust port. The headers merge into the collector which then continues down into the downpipe.

lol technically speaking yes you could call each tube a header but really they are called runners. the op and everyone else speaks in the term that the whole assembly is a header (singular). headers (plural) really only applies to v6/v8 etc. a header is a one piece deal you either have or you don't, can't really add or subtract individual runners...

i would call that headers because there are two separate flanges with runners coming off em...on a flat 4 its one flange so it's a header, i'm done arguing lol

WOOOO my headers came in today, i figured id post it here instead of making a new thread to cheer about this haha.

now just to have the time and stuff to install them. You guys done it in your home garage before? also wheres a goodplace to jack the car up from so i can put axle stands on the jackpoints of the car cause i see most ppl and they can get the axle stands to the jackpoints and i never can get it done so easily, i usually just two axle jacks and lift the front end for oilchanges

when i had a stock subframe i would jack the car up from the center crossmember that runs back under the engine. then just slide some jackstands under the jack points on the sides to support it
