Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    transmission reccomendations...

Hey, for any of you that don't know, i'm plannin' on building an auto tranny on my cb7. Let's just say i'm not really a tranny "master". So i'm willing to take recommendations on what parts to get/put together to make an auto tranny hold somewhere around 300whp

i flipped through this sites up to now:
    Jasper
    LevelTen
    IPT

any recommendations/concerns abouth these sites and on what should i get?..

    I'd REALLY appreciate any help

A torque converter with a higher stall would be a good investment. As for the bullet proof trans I am not sure what they do to it you might have to call and ask.

So from Jasper, if i get the Class II transmission kit, will that strengthen my tranny enough for the extra horses? and is that for an auto tranny? it mentions they carry stuff for manual...

Call jasper, and talk to Chip (cannot remember the extension.) Tell him that Matt from Albany Light Truck gave him the info, and he will be more than happy to help out.

Jasper is a well known place i can also reccomend you go to for a tranny rebuild/reinforce.

I remember back in the day, Jasper used to make a b21 rebuild kit. *sigh. I hate FRM.
