Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    HT: Take Head Off?

    Hey,

I finally found someone to do my work. Im gettin stage 2 camshafts, adj. cam gears, a valvetrain kit, and while everything is out...a port & polish . (I also got a chipped p28 that I didnt install/dyno tune yet b/c Im waitin for the head to be done)

One minor problem...They told me that it would save me a Ga-ton of $ if I take the "Head" off myself and just bring it there, so that way, I could keep my car at my house while my Head it being worked on. Does anyone know where I can get a manual or a "How To" on taking off the head on a H22?

    Thanks ,
    -Lam

              well you drain the oil
              take off the distributor/wires
              disconnect the intake mani
              disconnect the exhaust mani
take off the timing cover and take off the timing belt
then when everything is out of your way, take off the valve cover
after thats removed, remove the head bolts, and your done!
