Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Just remeber this; in terms of the muffler if its a straight through design the longer it is the quieter it will sounds. The diameter of the muffler doesnt really affect the sound. Any universal muffler is fine. I got my at pep-boys cause it was the right price and it sounds great not too loud.

the ex header is a good choice. Still waiting to put mine on. Only thing you will have to do is lengthen the wires on the O2 sensor to reach the downpipe, cuz thats where the bung is for it on the ex's.

As far as the CAI. It gives the car a nice deep sound, more power high end. Wouldnt get rid of mine.

if you live somewhere with lots of snow or cumlative rain, it isnt a good idea to get a CAI. many people get breather attachments (bypass valve), but a short ram gives better throttle response. you're not that much further ahead regardless of what you choose

Are there any guides on installing the header?

As for the CAI, I'm just doing a short ram so I don't have to take any risks when it snows

I was reading the DIY on removing rust, and I saw these wheels:

            What wheels are those?

found that.. if you dont have a haynes, you should get one. Like 15 at local auto store. It isnt really a hard job.. just depends on if bolts are rusted. get some PB blaster or loosener to help on the bolts.

Hit me up on AIM if you need help with the header install. Its pretty simple. The only hard part is getting off the old one.
