Everything in my car is stock. F22A1 engine. I was reading about basic mods from ex to lx parts. What type of mods are these? Manifold? Exhaust?

If you're interested in modding your F22a1, what are your goals and what is your budget like? From there we/you can plan. Honestly, if you're seeking true power gains and are on a fairly tight budget, I'd do this for I/H/E setup. Stick cone filter on your stock piping, get an EX/SE 4-2-1 header, then a better flowing exhaust.
You should be able to get those mods out of the way quick, then from there I'd concentrate on the engine and improving the intake system.
Now, to answer your LX to EX mods (I think u got them mixed up the way u said it), but do a search because this has been covered many times if you want more in depth, but briefly it's the diffs are in header, intake manifold, camshaft, ECU.
You already know what to do about the header...I'd just free up your stock intake manifold....don't bother with F22a6 swap, there are things listed on here about what u can do with camshaft.
