Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    G21 engine build

I have almost all these parts laying around right, so first off dont say it will cost to much cause it wont. My latest idea for engine build that will commence soon unless someone can tell me it wont work: f22 block, h22 crank,f22 rods and pistons(forged:already have wiseco pistons) and an h22 head. This motor would displace 2058.99cc and have a shorter rod/stroke ratio than the h22 so in theory after head modifications it would rev higher. Im using the f22 block cause of the sleeve situation with the h22 block(fmr).
Compresion should be 8.39.1. good for boost obviously. Well Id like some opinions, educated ones please.
    H22-T FTW!!!

It can work... I dunno seems like alot of trouble.

<-- Hypothesis says : custome rods and f18 crank would be too cool .

On the up side tho big props seems like it can come together well i mean i dont see why not . ARight L8.

I was reading a thread a while ago about someone wanting to place an h22 head on a f22 block. Deevergote responded:

You'd have to be down with doing that if you wanted to do that swap. It'd be pretty unique if you went with it tho. Good luck.

thanks for the luck, yea i already knew about blocking of the coolant ports, there is another build on here with an f22 block and an h22 head i read that thread over and over, still a few things that are vague to me but i have no problem mocking things up, and yea this does seem like alot of work for something that isnt proven but ive got nothing but time, and i get the honor of actually being the first person do this, anymore there arent very many new things to discover with honda's.

you're gona have quite the piston to deck height clearance.

Might as well take advantage and go NA. Get some crazy positive cc pistons

well after doing a little searching i decided im gonna use h22 rods instead of f22 due to price and compression. Should be around 9.1 comp ratio which is about perfect for boost and it should still be rev happy. The thing that suprises me is the price of f22 rods, they're a little salty. but i already have wiseco pistons so shelling out only 300 for h22 rods isnt too bad.

why not just blance the f22 crank and rev it on up.

i would keep the f22 rods because with the h your gaining compression and losing revability. and your going to be spending loots of $ to build this so i would do it right. also your going to need to have the engine balanced i think i dunno iwas talking to some mechanic at honda, and i was telling him about franks and he says they arent balanced and can brake easily...

wow it could be pretty incredible though. maybe a real 400 hp honda!
