Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Phearable.net got that CRACK!!!

Yeah, so i've been running a P28 that Jose (Busted LX) hooked up for me for a coupla years now. (I think i just dated myself )
Anyways, It is a great piece of work, and it held me down for a while, but i wanted to try something different, so i copped a chip from Phearable (short money, but WELL worth it). I also tightend up my throttle cable, made sure my timing was on point and away i went. I instantly noticed a difference. Not that LED washer nozzle=50hp difference, but a subtle yet pleasing difference. And let's face it, sometimes it's the little subtle-ties (sp?) that matter the most. I highly recommend this chip upgrade for people like me who don't have the time (i got two daughters ok?....) to get the whip properly tuned....

Aye yo John, send that endorsement money to my paypal aight?...

And now back to your regularly scheduled program

p.s. i have the rev-limiter set at 7800 and the shift light (Check engine light) at 7600. I've also noticed that i have a hard time staying in VTEC (4700) from 1st to 2nd. This is pre and post chip upgrade. Anyone have any suggestions to help rectify this "problem" or am i just a crappy driver?

I think that the map was done using CROME. Do i have to find a CROME tuner in order to have the "kinks" worked out?
I know the chip isn't that bad...that was the point of the thread ...or maybe i misunderstood what you mean...

You have to find a tuner that understands the program that its chipped with to tune it properly.

i have a VAFC (uninstalled). I've considered getting a harness, but i'm not sure i wan't to use it. The only people who i would trust to do the tuning for the VAFC also have services for Uberdata (and presumably CROME). So i'd rather them change the parameters with the chip.

I have a Phearable P28 under my bed

No money or tools to tune it though

With the Type-S the P13 runs a little screwy under 3K... it makes this weird gurgling sound from 1-2K and the gas mileage is pretty dismal. If someone had a wideband and whatever is needed to tune I'd just do it myself...
