Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    HP info

after reading here i have learned that u get can 200hp on a H22 with some minor work for our accords.
what i need to know is how much HP does a turbo (safely)add to the H22???? =?
lets say we rebuild a F22a and safely turbo it how much HP am i looking at?????

what about Nitrous + H22=to how much horse power
what about Nitrous + F22= to how much horse power
(have no idea how Nitrous work)

which is the safest one with most of the Hp.
i am looking for daily driving and some time race someone when i get the chance <<<<<always race in a safe place.

as u see i need a lot of schooling. i am more of a stock engine guy but i would like to go to the next step.
how much would estimately cost for each of the upgrades?
    ok now shot away.

    Here's the quick rundown:

F22 is boost friendly, as long as you stay below 11psi. 8 is ideal for daily driving.

H22 hates boost. You have to build an H22 before boosting it. No if and or butts.

H22 will be less money out of pocket initially, and in the long run. However, a stock H22 will quckly be out-powered by a boosted F22.

You don't need to build an H22 to run boost... as long as you tune it well initially and keep the psi turned down... plenty of people have done it before...

as i said i don't know much about them but it seems to be that having a f22 with a turbo would be less work than a H22 with turbo. am i right?

and do i have to rebuild the f22 engine before i turbo it?
how much will a turbo for the f22 would cost?
i have heard that the turbo needs constant maintenace?<<<is it true?

i am not looking to race. i just need more hp.something like in 200hp to 230hp.

since i alwasy hate when someone fucks up something that they should do good on the engine <<<< i think if i buy a turbo i would put in myself in the car.

now is it hard to install a turbo on our cars.
(the only things that i have done is help when swaped the engines and i swaped the tranny by my self)
so what u think can i install a turbo my self.

Do your research on all these setups, determine what is best for your and realisitically (not dreamingly) affordable. Make a plan on what mods you need to accomplish this goal (not what looks good, etc). After finding out what specific parts you need, shop around for best prices. Stick to your original plan, don't get carried away with impulse buying, unless it's a part you planned on buying and came across a great price you can save big on.

Do the research & get appropriate manuals, etc...talk to people that have done it or something similar before and compile all info and come out with a conclusion for yourself. Do the work yourself or as much of it as you can to both save & learn.

If you follow that, you will get the most of the setup you can realistically can afford and do in whatever time period you have, this is as good as it gets for you & you should be happy with the work you put in.
