    Thinking of buying this muffler

I upgrading my exhaust from 2.25 to 2.5' and I was looking at this muffler, just not sure about the size of it fitting on a cb7, anyone know anything about this product?

the muffler size/diameter should fit, u might need to cut the bumoer opening to fit those dual 3" tip. A good muffler shop can fit 99% of the muffler. might have to cut and add a pipe depend on your current muffler length.

This looks very nice to me. So you would just run this on custom 2.5" piping? Would you need a resonator?

Yep I probably would run a resonator with the piping to be upgraded from 2.25" to 2.5"

                  looks beautiful.

but by their description "- Feature Vibrant's "True Straight Through" perforated internals for unrestricted flow and maximum horsepower.

                  - These mufflers are densely packed with our premium multi-layered sound absorption materials, helping produce a low, deep exhaust tone."

aka, its a pipe wrapped in fiberglass with holes drilled in it. the sound deadening material will degrade over time. thats the only problem with those kinds of mufflers.

depending on price, i'd go for it.

i dont have a vibrant but a slightly similar muffler with 3 inch dual tips and straight through design with fiberglass packing and i've had it for going on 3 years without any sign of deterioration so go for it i think it sounds like a great idea.

My current muffler is good, I bought it new last year for legal issues with the police. It's a Dynamax Turbo muffler. It's not a straight through design, but it does it's job. Since I'm boosting next week though I thought this Vibrant muffler was a good substitute. First of all it's stealth looking, second it's a straight through design and thirdly it's a 2.5" inlet and since I will be upgrading from 2.25" to 2.5" this muffler seems good and finally I've always liked the dual exhaust tip on a CB7. I will be ordering it this week and by the end of the week I'm going to have a whole new setup...I will ask my mechanic to take some pics!
