Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    H23 Tranny

Got an offer on a M2S4 93 H23A1 transmission with 120k origional miles on it for 250. All i have to do is pick it up in a place not to far from me. Should i go for it or wait for a better deal? help me out if you can. Any questions should i ask him about it? not really sure.

sounds like a good deal, 250 is not bad, check it out in person and make sure the input shaft doesn't have much play in it and see if there are any crack or damage on it

if not just install it and fill it with the new honda mtf or gm syncromesh

Yep as mentioned thats a good deal just make sure its in good operating condition. Change out the input shaft seals and such those will help =D.

Do your clutch and rear main. Might as well since you have everything off.

When you take out your trans its on the block. Yo uwill need to remove the flywheel to see it but its right there. Just pry it out and press the new one in.

Like a 2 or 3 hour drive. Ill let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the help. About how long does it take to do the swap?
