my question is where do you guys buy your intake filters? i ahve looked around and i haven't found much.
    help me out.
in the same time ifyou guys don't agree with me saying that kn filters are one of the best, then let me know what other filters out there are better than KN. and hwere i can buy them and for how much.

yeah i was lookin around for one as well, there are some online places you can find through their website and also ebay has some. I think they are good filters, but who really knows youll never prove it, just buy one and call it a day.

I just bought a filter from AFE. I read many testimonials and researched a lot before I chose them.

I was going to get an Apexi if I could find one used because they are expensive and suppposed to be good.

S&B is supposed to be just like K&N and generally cheaper. You can get a new one shipped for $30 or so.

I'm selling my AEM filter by the way.

S&B race filters are the best, and like stated above, they're cheaper than K&N...S&B makes the filters that a lot of companies market as there own. S&B is the only thing we sell in my shop, everything else on the market is sub-par in one area or another, Greddy and HKS filters are great for power, but horrible for filteration, Injen/AEM/K&N are decent but they get dirty quick, tear easily, and are more restrictive than S&B while filtering the same amount.

Why wouldn't it? If your intake is 3" OD and the filter is 3" ID.

Yeah, go with this S&B one. Can't beat the price and hopefully you've read more about them to know about the quality.

I'm a little late here, but I have the K&N and I don't have any problems with it. I can feel the difference between it and stock (not like omg now it's fast, but there is a definite improvement).

i heard the reason they flow so well, K&N that is, is because the dont filter shit, pretty much a big ass hole with them....again this is what i've heard

i go w/AEM b/c thats their premier product, they made back in the street racing days and have been the forefront for most intake systems, i mean come on, what company pretty much has EVERY application out there for pretty much any car(other than K&N)

well the K&N doesn't have a big hole in it, it's definately not like filtering out every dust particle, but then again, as long as it keeps most of the big nasty stuff out then it should be ok.

also, you are supposed to oil K&N filters and then the dirt will stick to that, I think some people that give them bad reviews and shit don't clean them often enough or don't oil them right.

a few of aem intake products come with KN filters. lol so i think that they are preety good.
what i am looking for is a dry filter. something that doesnt need to oil in order for the dirty to get filtered.

but after my research i have concluded that a lot of people use k&n filters....
and you have no idea how many people still use the no name filters that come with e bay pipes lol. <<<<< (i am one of them)

right now i will be using the S&b filters and keep researching till i find the ultimate filter for my cb7. lol *ultimate such a big word lmao*
