Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Air Filter Fitment on Cold Air Intake

hey guys i just purchased an AEM cold air for my f22a6. the cold air tubing is 2.5'' and my ractive cone filter is 3'' inlet. i am going to install this today, is there any way that the filter can be tightened enough to fit onto the intake tubing or am i going to have to buy a new filter with a 2.5'' inlet? thanks

oh, and is there something i can purchase at a hardware store or canadian tire that can be used to plug the vacuum line?

which vacuum line? If its the breather tube from the valve cover, hook it to the nipple on the intake pipe. If it doesn't have one, then just get one of those tiny cone filters for it.

As for the line from the starting valve, I'm not sure what people do with 'em. It needs to be open to air. I think you can get a T fitting that will go inline with the breather hose, but the third nipple is small enough for the vacuum line.

I've seen reducers at the auto stores, but they're meant to go onto hard piping.

to plug the vacuum line, AEM should have supplied a piece of grey foam that goes over it. That way, it can still be breathable.
