Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    What cam gear(s) do you guys have PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with?

    I'm in the market for one.

    I know they don't bring any gains for sohc's. Reason I'm getting one is because my engine is just fucking weird. I can't ever get the physical timing on.

    Bisimoto is really just out of the question, unless I can get one for less than $100.

    That said, my budget is $100.

    I've been looking at Skank2, AEM, and even Megan Racing. I know the pricing, I just want to know of personal experiences and if there were any problems.

    i got my aem one for 25 bucks delivered, mint condition but i havent used it yet so no opinion there.

      if i'm correct, i think i remember reading HondaFan saying some good stuff about the MeganRacing and how it's def. a good bang for the buck...

        i had one of the old AEM cam gears (the one with only 3 bolts) and they backed out on me going down the road, causing the timing to jump off and back fire like crazy. but a quick re-adjustment and some blue lock-tite fixed the problem.

        I believe Cisco did say the megan cam gears are made from the same materials as the skunk2.
