Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i read somewhere that air/fuel controllers (AFC, SAFC, VAFC) are useless on hondas because hondas use MAP sensors and not mass air flow sensorsLast edited by b3nsonx; 10-23-2007, 06:57 PM.

no, i got rid of it after having it on the car for an hour. I'd already discovered chipped ecu's by that time and just wanted to try it out.Originally posted by b3nsonxdo you have an air fuel controller?
The problem with afc's is that to alter the fuel they manipulate the map on the ecu by shrinking the matrix table. Meaning to alter the fuel it has to alter the timing also which in turn is terrible for applications that can't afford any advanced timing.
The solution for the advanced timing is to retard base timing all over the map at the distributor. Which to me is like putting a band-aid over a STD. Sure, there are success stories but i enjoy full control over my engine.
And no, it doesn't matter if the car is operated by MAP or MAF, the controllers are equally operational for both.Knowledge is power...in EVERY sense of the word
