Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    solid mounts...

ok.. i don't know if this is the right place to post this but i filled my mounts up with some urethane that i got from lowes.. it does the trick.. but DAMN at the vibration.. someone should really give some thought about doing this because things REALLY VIBRATE. I highly suggest using thread locker on all bolts that you have taken loose and are replacing because so far i have had to go back and check for loose bolts everyday which i find everyday and put thread locker on them... its getting kinda ridiculous

Has anybody else had this kinda trouble outta solid mounts ?? i mean i knew it was going to vibrate but damn not vibrate bolts loose. i mean its vibrated the bolts to my e-brake loose.. i had to tighten them up yesterday. and the day before it vibrated the dizzy bolts loose.. luckily i saw that before they all came out. is this to be expected or is it just me. ????

You sure you bought polyurethane and not some kind of liquid aluminum?

That, or you bought some really stiff shit.

I've ridden in Phatdoughnuts car and it doesn't vibrate that much, if any at all. I believe all his mounts are filled with 94a polyurethane from mcmaster.

if you put thread locker everywhere, wat happens when your e-brake cables strech? when you gotta change the Dizzy's o-ring? Whne you need ot swap out the engine? or anything else that needs to be changed

ive got Mcmaster 94a in all my mounts which is pretty stiff and things dont come loose on my car...been riding with filled mounts for like 5 or 6 months....i get slight vibrations from my door panels sometimes but thats cause the clips are broken but nothing has come unscrewed.

I have a mixture of the stiffest Hasport mounts and window weld on the factory onces . And the vibration in my car is not that bad. My alternator bolt almost back the whole way out though

I used window weld on some of my mounts and I only get intense vibrations when Im in gear at a very low rpm or if the ac is on while im idling. My buddy with a b16 swap into a old ass civic has after market mounts and his car vibrates alot worse than mine and he has no problems with bolts coming out, and neither do I.

everyones talking about filling both the front and rear mounts right? .. i only have my front doggybone mount filled, and i have very little vibration. If the severe vibrations are due to having both mounts filled, i guess i'm going to have to leave my rear mount as it, or partially filled.

ive been running solid 94a mounts for a while now... yes it vibrates... but doesnt make things come loose... maybe you havent been tightening things enough all of these years and the mounts have only now made that apparent?

All mine are filled or Hasport. There should be no to little difference of vibration at idle with the just the front mount .

so i guess it should be 94a not 60a

                            Most people use 94a.

60a is most likely less stiff.

94a is like plastic compared to the 60a rubber lmao. im sure the 60 helps but most people go 80 or 94...
