Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Difference between EX and LX catback?

I've been shopping around for a catback exhaust lately since the one I have now is just too loud.

One thing I came across that I couldn't quite figure out is the difference between EX and LX exhaust systems. Some manufacturers such as GReddy and Tanabe have two different catbacks for the 90-93 Accords. One for EX and the other for LX, SE, etc.

I haven't been able to find a Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion in LX form...so what I'm wanting to know is if the EX style will work on an LX...and what are the differences?

just get whatever exhaust itll fit....itll fit almost normally if anything maybe minor mod....the only diff are the manifolds and ecu and ish that give the ex's 10 more hp.....

I wasn't really asking the differences between the EX and LX models....just the catback exhaust.

I know about the ECU, camshaft, header, intake manifold, all that gravy stuff, but I can't figure out why they've only got a catback for the EX model.

I imagine it could be made to fit without much trouble like Adam said.

The EX came with a dual exhaust tip stock and the LX had the single.

The two parts (outside of that) appear to be about the same. Dunno why they'd have different models.

From manifold to cat itis different though, the LX has the O2 sensor in the header, the EX has it down near the cat on the down pipe.
