Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Data logging issues, this is crazy.

Ok, so I've just received my Moates HULOG data logging box and I've neatly installed the connection port in my ECU And I've been looking at Uberdata for a while and getting a feel for the program before I do anything.

I hooked everything up and set the USB controller to operate on COM3 and set the program to operate on COM3 and ..... nothing happens.

My RPM's say I'm at 51 and some other number stays the O2 numbers stay the same (something like 91). I've tried using Crome 1.5, Uberdata 1.66 and 1.7, ECTune, and ECU Control V5.8.40.

I've noticed that with Uberdata (the only one which does anything) I have to open up a ROM to get to the data logging selections.

Am I doing something wrong? In Crome I think I have to buy the PRO license to get data logging features, but with the other programs I don't know what the heck is going on.

What came to my mind is that my soldering job was crummy. but when I leave the HULOG attached to my computer and disconnect the ECU, Uberdata does the exact same thing. I would expect it to read something like 0 for the RPMs and 0 for a lot of other things.

I feel like such a failure but every thread and online article I read it's always been "yeah I plugged it in and it's FREAKIN AMAZING!!!!" Which really makes me want it to work.
Been a long time. Still alive...
