chipped ECU rev at 3500

hey people hope someone can help out...i have chipped an ECU(p06) to run on my auto to manual swap (for future mods/tune) i put in the ecu yesterday just to try it out, car started all good and idle good i requested the tuner to disable the EGR and governor, did he do it? don't know for sure till i get some one to check it out( another tuner) other thing is that i try to rev the engine but it stops at 3500 why is it doing that don't know my only guess is that he put rev limit to 3500...what can i do to fix this or how can i take a look at the chip my self/or fix my self.

does it only rev to 3500 when your stopped. or while your moving

thats the rev limiter probably.
put it in D and see if you can drive it.

its called launch controll !!!!!! lol its a great thing to have. if ur still an auto try to drive it some of the i was told its hit or miss if they work with them. if it doesnt work then when u put it in drive it will go straight into overdrive. whats your new rev limiter when shifting gears??

maybe if i do dataloging i can see whats in the chip right?

just ask the person you got the chip from to send you the basemap file and open it

could also be your fuel injector wiring has open....3500 RPM limit along with CEL on is what happens in that situation, this could be engine wiring or ECU mananagement derived

thanks for reply....most def. i check everything after the trans. is on cuz im using this p06 for the 5speed swap. i get back with info on this matter, and just yesterday i notice the pulley was moving side to side that thing was loose don't know how so i have to take care that first

ok i have run the car with the p06 it does revs to 3500 or 3700 but only when im on a stop sound like the launch cont. runs good no CEL idle good if i can get a video i'll post one....i try to communicate with the guy who burn the basemap but no luck ...well thank you for the help guys! im done with the 5speed conversion next step deciding if going NA or TURBO...any good advices welcome!
