Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Get out there and do it.

Easiest and best way to learn.

the wiki has been up for a long time.

and in case you didn't know
        forum.pgmfi.org

fuel maps are milli seconds the injectors are open during that certain vaccum/boost and rpm. timing is timing advance.

Hook your wideband up, and get your car to idle right. It's the best way to learn. If its too lean, add some fuel in the columns it's idling at.

It helps if you have something to datalog with(freelog), but doing it just with the wb works as well, just takes more time and fiddling with.

Do you have a wideband o2? If you don't you have to get one, it's a must in order to tune. I have a PLX M300 installed in my car which is a wonderful unit and an Innovate LM-1 I use to tune other peoples cars. If you plan to have a sensor to move from car to car to tune with get something like an LM-1 if it's just you're car the more inexpensive units like the PLX would be ideal.

Using a wideband you'll be able to see how your changes in the tables directly affect the car.
