Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    downpipe question

    alright well i was just wondering, after i finish my turbo install.....is it safe to drive it to a shop without a downpipe to get one made or no? a lot of people seem to have theirs made already but i was wondering if this was possible so that i can get perfect fitment.

        IT will be super loud.

        You'll be fine. Just don't rev over 3k. Free-spooling turbo's kill them prematurely.

          Yeah, just be careful and dont get all crazy on it. You'll be untuned, and the turbo will be free spooling as stated.
          I drove about 10 miles to get mine fabbed up, and was fine.

            im in the dallas/lewisville area.....but ok cool, i didnt wanna get a "hope this works" downpipe and then have to get another one. ill be drivin only about 5 miles or so so it wont be too bad. Im thinkin about gettin hpp racing to make my downpipe. You got a better place to go in the dfw area?
