Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

If you run boost on a stock ECU you are retarded. That goes for any application that wasnt made for boost.

I guess in theory it could...gotta weigh those negatives though...how much do all the parts cost?
Good electric supercharger + higher amp alt.
Do they even make that alt. for our honda?
Ease of part replacement in the future too...
And how long can you actually use it? not as long as other setups...almost like running nitrous...except you don't run out...just have to stop for a few minutes.
and Nail05 is right...you will HAVE to do something with the ecu__

The main reason why they want you to run a higher amp alternator is because the real systems do drain quite a bit of voltage. Not a lil fan thats hooked to your intake tube that runs on battery voltage. You will be surprised at some efficiency of some superchargers...Yea turbocharging is reusing energy but there are also benefits to supercharging also. Its not all that bad. Oh yea they can be pretty efficient. Not as efficient as turbos but they can get decently close.

Uh yeah 500 bucks my ass.Originally posted by westsideaccordSo, in theory they work, BUT our accords have only 90 amp alternators max right? Unless of course you pay that 500+ for the 120amp and I beleive the 200 amp one is 1000 or more! Basically youve bought your H motor or Pieced together you turbo Kit for the price.

Not to argue, but at what rpm do any of those actually make that amperage, how long do they last, and how much is shipping? Also have they been tested at that amperage for durability and longevity? I last priced them out at local auto parts stores, most of which dont list anything over stock 90 amp and if they could order one in made the customer pay the shipping, and usually put the money down in advance! the 120 amp custom built was over 500$ and the 180 amp was 1200$ and some change. That was about two years ago, also I would rather buy my electronics from a retailer as on ebay there is, IMO, no warranty, and youll have to pay shipping back to them and back to you again. From experience! Those alterntors you posted are reasonably priced, especially if you get warranty, local shipping etc. but that is not the case for me as I live in a small city in canada so it doesnt seem feesable! And again it was at canadian tire local, had to special order either and they did cost that from there! I am sure supply and demand would have evened the price out some but still, ill just run my good relible 90 amp with my turbo setup, its more fun anyways!
to you, the one who called me retarded!
Like Damien said, it is because of need to get the car across the city not because it was a good idea! It was super rich though so it was safe, not smart, but got me home. Im back on the p06 with the tune right now from the old 14b/stock f22a1 setup, and need to tune for e316g and hybrided intake assembly etc. should be pretty simple, and esides I didnt boost during those 20 blocks or whatever, just drove super slow till I got home! If you say IM RETARDED you should be BANNED, read the rules, trust me I know from experience, Arent you a moderator? What kind of example are you setting for newer members? I am not gonna respond to any more of your flaming. It is uncalled for!
BTW Thank you Damien! Much apreciated!Last edited by westsideaccord; 04-03-2008, 12:34 PM.

I can say whatever. This is the interweb if you get butthurt deal with it. Any boosted setup driving on a stock ECU should be fine in VACUUM. Either way good for you you made it home in one piece. Now I can see other people driving home on boosted setups and stock ECU's great. Reason why its retarded? Your walking a fine line. The only smart thing doing that from what I can see is disconnecting the charge pipe from the compressor housing to the intake and you can drive as long as you want with a turbo running no boost. Honestly I can care less at your comments and I am not a moderator.

Interesting! I couldve swore that it says in the section for Beginners, http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/announcement.php?f=107
And also according to your screenname you are the SOUTHERN REGIONAL MODERATOR, so yes you are a moderator.1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
As I said you obviously dont care about the benefits of this site/forums, so you should be banned, ive been banned due to some stupid things I said.
Oh yeah my car didnt blow up, it wasnt a fine line, and hell its my money/time and effort if it had. Guess what It saved me a 60+ dollar tow bill and was out again after I found the problem.
Btw, are you boosted? Do you know what my car has? Have you ever seen it, do you know me? your right you can do whatever you want just not on cb7tuner.com!
I never once recomended to drive a boosted f22a on a stock ecu. Also If you read MRX's tuning journal youll see he has had major issue just like me and he has pulled out the stocker once or twice! LOL.
Peace.Last edited by westsideaccord; 04-04-2008, 11:45 AM.

just fyi...in the noob section folks are less "rude" to noob questions...in the regular section...not so much.
and giving short rude replies in this section isn't considered flaming...you weren't getting flamed...that's not flaming...but if you want I guess we could show you what flaming really is
the following is not directed at you...just an example of what flaming is if someone where to flame your question...like I said though...this isn't really what I think...just an example
"You stupid fucking retard I hope you blow your engine (cause I know your stupid ass will) and I hope you die in the fire that ensues after you slam into a semi cause if you're too stupid to know this then you prolly fucked your brakes too and you're gonna kill your stupid ass and improve the human race"
saying,
"it's stupid to boost at all with no ecu tune"
that's not flaming...it's just true...it's not flaming, not at all...Last edited by bcjammerx; 04-04-2008, 11:33 PM.__
