Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    now its really spiking!

    Well coming home tonight, i started to race by buddie on the freeway. And you know im looking around making sure theres nothing in front of me, i get a second to glance at my boost gauge and the needle is at 18psi!!! on a freakin 14b turbo!

    whats wrong?

        Do you have a boost controller? I had a crappy manual controller on mine when it started spiking to around 18psi instead of the ~10 it was set for.

        custom'ish turbo setup
        180 whp/217 ft-lbs super hot, super humid, super rich, boost falling off at 8psi
        18psi boost spike = BOOM!!!!!

            Did it feel like 18psi? If it didn't, then your gauge is crap most likely.

                  spun a bearing, blew a oil line and over heated my motor and turbo tonight. i think the turbo is pretty fucked, and idk about the block, but i leaned out, spiked hard and lost all oil pressure. fuck this car. only thing i know is, im going to sleep tonight.

                        if the oil smells like hardcore poo poo, you probably spun a bearing. rip the oil filter off and examine it.
