92 eclipse turbo any good

I'm trying to get some parts together for my turbo plans and found a 92 dsm mani and turbo for 75$. I need to know if this would be decent for stock F and what to look for. Wanting to get it tonight but don't wanna buy if not good for what I wanna do with it. What do I need to look for? He says it has no shaft play.

all depends on what your goals are. a stock eclipse turbo if its a 5 speed is good for around 250-275hp any more than that it turn into a heat pump.

This guy was parting out an eclipse off craigslist and he was askin 100 buy said he'd take 75. Think about it, an old car like that is probly only worth 1000 bucks so when people part stuff out sometimes they don't know what it's even WORTH.

Autos and 5 speed cars had different turbos?

yes the automatics are conciderably smaller

If it is the turbo off of an auto, don't get it. If it's the 14b, it'll do some good. But if you really want to go for the gold, get a 16g.

Any difference between 1g or 2g or 3g manifolds? Any one in particular better. I'm not too familiar with DSM other than I know the 1g block is better with a later model model head. But would a 92 turbo mani be a good choice?

2g flows way better. thats what i have on my setup with mhi 16g. dont get the auto eclipse turbo its too small, and if its of the newer 96 eclipses they came with t25 way too small, too

2g manifolds flow better than the 1g, but the 1g can be ported to flow just as good. The Evo 3 manifold flows the best and is the strongest. I have a ported one
