    14b setup questions

Well, I finally got arund to starting a 14b setup build. I am just trying to figure everything else out. My goal is to make around 220whp.

Setup will be going on a F22a1 w/150k on it. stg3 xtd clutch, 2.5in catback. otherwise stock. but will be getting a h23 manifold soon as well

What I have so far is a 60k mile DSM manifold, 14b turbo, wastegate, and exhaust elbo.

I know I will need a fmic and piping, BOV, 255lph fuel pump.

I guess my question is more about the injectors. What are the limitations of the stock injectors?
Also around what amount of boost will I roughly need to achieve 220whp? I was thinking maybe 9 or 10psi?

My other question and last, is what is the limitations of the stock head bolts? more soat what point do I need ARP bolts?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

stock injectors + boost is a recipe for disaster. just get the DSM blue top 450's which are good for ~300hp.

think about it, your providing more air into the engine, so you need more fuel. sure the walbro can flow enough fuel TO the injectors, but once they get there, they're only providing 290cc (or w/e stockers are)
and i hope your not planning on running a FMU either. just get a chipped ECU and be done with it.

and my stock head bolts have been plenty sufficient for ~260hp, so you should be fine.

      re

Good to hear that about the stock head bolts. i wasnt sure about that. But after searching some on here I see the stockers can handle more than enough.

No, lol i am definitely getting it tuned. I have a P06 ecu already just need to get it chipped.

The question I am having having a couple issues finding is about the DSM 450cc's. If I run these will I need a resistor box?

Overall setup I am planning on is going to be 14b DSM turbo setup.
With: 3in stainless DP/Test pipe, Custom bent intercooler piping, FMIC, HKS SSQV BOV, Walbro 255lph, AEM FPR, DSM 450cc's, tuned on the P06 ecu. Hoping to achieve around 200-220whp@8-9psi like that.

      Think it will?

o wow cb7's have resistor boxes too?
          i know BB1/2's come w/ them stock.

but yes, you need the resistor box. they literally plug and play. don't even need to mod the o-rings/gaskets as i found out the hard way!

Thanks for all the info so far.

Yeah I have been keeping up with that thread as it is indeed very helpful.

Definitely doing DSM450's tho. they will support all the power I want to make in my cb7. since it is semi-dd

and to answer your question about 220 hp.

you should see 220hp fairly easy. thats right around a 9psi reliable driver.

I was running about 10psi on my first setup and seeing close to 250 I believe.
never dyno'd but ran against several other cars.

anyways good luck. this is a great website for knowledge!

                  re

Okay, that was what I was thinking after reading into it. lol Ive been watching boost on here for about a year.

Yeah this is by far the best site for an accord tuner
