Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Exhaust Setup

Before anyone tells me to, yes I have searched all over CB7Tuner and YouTube but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I want to know what kind of an exhaust setup would sound good on a 14b DSM turbo setup at 8-9 lbs without a built motor.

My plans were a full 3" exhaust with a higher flow cat, 18" glasspack as resonator, and Vibrant or OBX twin loop muffler but I want to know how it will sound before I spend any money because I'm pretty short on cash.

Does anyone have any idea how this would sound? I want it to sound really mean but not particularly loud unless I'm at WOT and I can't seem to find anyone with a similar setup.

IMO forget the resonators and mufflers. that's just extra weight that isn't going to change the sound that much.
I run just a 2.5"pipe straight from the turbo to drivers side out the front bumper. It is pretty mean and not loud at all for daily driving, quieter than naturally aspirated hondas for sure.

i don't believe you will need a full 3 inch exhaust for that setup.it may actually work against you, as the pulses from exhaust gases may start to collect and stay stagnit in the pipe instead of being a vortec\x of suction pulling it out as quickly as possible.

normally anything with a turbocharger exhaust wise sounds pretty good.

I like Apexi or greddy personally.

3 inch is too big for a 14b. It has a 2 1/2 inch exhaust outlet so stick with that. Also, use some sort of straight thru muffler. Have this same setup on my turbo ef and it sounds good for normal driving, not too raspy or loud. But when you get on it, it sounds tits.

Do you have a video or anything of how it sounds?
