Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    h23 turbo

I've done a good amount of research and have narrowed my options down as well as possible.

    -92/93 5psd cb7
-95/96 h23 [probably USDM so I can comp. test etc. myself]
DSM setup looks most cost effective, and I think it can reach the 300whp mark I'm looking for. Most of the setups I've seen are h22's, but I figure with lower compression and .1 displacement advantage, I should be able to push at least the power to make up for no VTEC plus it will be a simpler setup with less things to go wrong. I can put more into it as well since h23's are going for significantly less than h22's. I'm no newbie with turbos, before my bike I owned a 300zx TT for a little over a year restoring it and selling it for $$.

Besides general comments, 300whp seems to be around the blurry mark for whether I need to do internals. I'd rather try to keep them stock, but based on the conservative limits of the h23's internals, I may have to adjust my 300whp goal. $$ isn't so much of a concern, just cost effectiveness. Block gaurd, full bolt-ons, screw emissions, maybe HG; fuel system, turbo system, etc., out of DSM, and a good management and tuning session, 300whp?

Thanks fizzbob7, I forgot to mention the headwork. I want something that can last a few years, I think I can do that if I run the 225whp +/- street tune and hoping for a 300whp race tune, as mentioned. Thanks for the setup advice.

Buddah, h23's are quite as advertised as h22's, but if you call almost any dealer of h22's they will have some h23's for at least 33% cheaper if you bargain some. I'll let you know once I find my specific vendor if I don't get it out of a friend's car.
