From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    going boost...looking for friendly advice

After my A6 burnt the rings i got me a F22b and the thought of boosting have been on my mind for a while. I am completly new to this and i was looking into making something like 270-300hp @ 10-14psi and here is a guideline id like to stick with (if possible)

    **BLOCK**
    stock block (honed) new rings
    arp head studs
    bisi head gasket
water pump timing belt (performance rated)

    **HEAD**
    honed
    bisi valve springs and retainers
    bisi cam
bigger TB (not sure of specs)

    **FUEL**
    injectors (unsured)
    fuel pump (unsured)
ecu (probably chipped xxx or a hondata)

    **Turbo**
    Garrett T3 60 trim
    wastegate (unsure)
    blowoff valve(unsure)

    **Cooling**
small is all i know, kinda want to keep it hidden (makes a great suprise for those civic guys like "wtf hes boosting?!)

My application will be for mainly street use, but would like to go to the tracks .....So please if you think my guide is good OR BAD let me know, feel free to fill in my "unsure" columns and if you can a brief description. This is very early stage and i dont know how to combine the parts...yet

*In my opinion stock honda replacement is the best option.

    **HEAD**
    honed
    bisi valve springs and retainers
    bisi cam
bigger TB (not sure of specs)
First I would HIGHLY recommend Polar Bear Tuning throttle bodies, I have one and love the thing, you will however want to have the plenum (h22/h23) bored out to 68mm.
I don't know for sure that the h22 or h23 plenum fits on the f22b but it might...

    **FUEL**
    injectors (unsured)
*These days you can get some pretty good large injectors for a good price you might as well get something like 600cc since they will be about the same price as smaller ones.
    fuel pump (unsured)
    * A lot of people enjoy Walbro pumps, I have one in my car, but if you plan on running e85 or alcohol ever I would look into aeromotive or MagnaFuel
ecu (probably chipped xxx or a hondata)
    * I am partial to running Neptune, since that is what I run, but for your setup there is no real reason to run anything other then crome free. It is easy to find tuners who can create a good tune with crome.

You will want to get or chip yourself a p06 ecu.

    **Turbo**
    Garrett T3 60 trim
    wastegate (unsure)
    * alot of people don't like the ebay knockoffs, but for a low boost build I think they are ok.
    blowoff valve(unsure)
*Again these can be gotten off of ebay.

I should also mention that instead of ebay, look on craigslist for people selling greddy or other BOV, these pop up everywhere and are cheap
    .

    **Cooling**
small is all i know, kinda want to keep it hidden (makes a great suprise for those civic guys like "wtf hes boosting?!)
*If you are all about the sleeper look, look into air water intercoolers
    you did not list

Header, this is one of the most important factors in determining turbo performance, if you are looking for quick spool and low boost get a log manifold.

300 hp is achievable on stock block, and with cheap parts, however it will not last forever, remember this and plant to have to rebuild it in a few years.

Other things to look out for are boost creep with a log manifold and with ebay wategate.

I have a Turbonetics Intercooler Kit, Blow Off Valve, and Boost Controller with less than 1000 miles on em. I could hook you up, really need them off my hands since I'm moving. Let me know.

I will always say this to people wanting to boost there car...you will most likely need to upgrade your clutch so keep some extra money for that, and on top of that it's probably a good idea to replace your seals and they tend to go with added power.

        SOLD!!

I had an ebay 38mm wastegate on my Civic for a year; now I have that same wastegate on my Integra. It still works good.
I took it apart the other day to see if it needed a rebuild but it definitely does not.
A lot of people will tell you not to cheap out on the wastegate, but what they don't realize is that you can set boost cut to any psi you want with a chipped ECU. So even if your wastegate fails when you are racing or w/e, there will not be any problem.
That being said, if you have money - get a name-brand wastegate.

Also, I got a brand new SSQV but it doesn't work, I am returning it and switching to an ebay BOV. ebay FTW.

And about keeping your car sleeper. Getting a small intercooler is a bad idea IMO. Just throw a light coat of flat black on your intercooler. I would be more worried about making the BOV quiet if you want your car to be sleeper. You could try recirculating it, that would quiet it down some, plus it will give you a performance boost.

If i go boost, i plan on taking the motor to a shop and have it honed out, replace all the seals, basicly i want a stock motor with boost but i want to make sure it wont break anything (atleast right away) by swapping any a few parts and putting in parts that can handle the boost...may also get some cams and springs

yea, a friend of mine spanked a turbocharged del sol with a eg coupe single cam with a ebay kit but he had swapped the turbo and used a saab turbo

Idk exactly what to do but i dont want to go crazy, my ideal build id like to keep it simple with...

                block
                port and polish
                low comp pistons
                new water and oil pump

                head
set of cams and cam gears
                h23 intake
                70mm tb

id like to keep it as close to a stock turbo motor as possible, i want the idle to sound close to stock

Get an actual good clutch too! I bought the ebay Eclutchmasters 6puck clutch that's supposidly rated for almost 400hp around 12psi it'll start to slip and 15psi there's nothing there, the clutch has around 10miles on it aswell as my engine has only 10miles on it aswell and the clutch is junk already spend a couple hundred bucks and get a real good clutch!

yes def other things to consider:

                    clutch
                    motor mounts
                    oil press gauge (mechanical)
-do not go electric on this as mechanical is the best way to get proper results
exhaust (downpipe sizing is very import to the flow
-also keep in mind when you go turbo you recirculate a lot of the exhaust making your vehicle a lot quiter

good luck man, be careful its addicting!

Ummm maybe you should do some research on how to properly break in a clutch, and motor...
