Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i wouldnt bother if your going to be making under 400whp. if your making more then that, sleeving is the way to go.

Block guards are notorious for warping cylinder walls. Stay away.

        thanks for the feedback guys...
which are best? lets say for 500whp .... Darton, Golden Eagle etc. i know there are some other brands but cant remember their name.

Those two brands are the most common, and I've heard nothing but good things about both. Eitehr one should hold up just fine as long as everything is installed and tuned properly (the strongest of sleeves will crack with crazy amounts of detonation, or a poorly fitting or improperly installed piston)

That's the only way to do it, my friend!
Too many people these days want the cheapest parts possible, then complain when their engines blow up. Do it right, do it once, enjoy it for a long time!

                      We're not wrong. I hope you're lucky.

As for Race Engineering, they've been around for quite some time, and I've never heard complaints. Their prices and selection are both quite good. Bisimoto would be my first choice when buying internals, simply because Bisi caters to this community... but raceeng would be my second choice for parts.

should the head be build and what is recommended? for example porting valve job etc.. or leave it stock with bisi internals?

*im thinking building it but would like some ideas i could use for reference.
