    DSM front motor mount quickie

Im not running a 16g or 14b or anything like that. But seeing as there is absolutely NO turbo manifolds for out f22A's other than craptastic logs... and $80 OBX ones, Ill be getting a SS tubular one from DNP performance witht he t3 flange.

I see a lot of people mention "ditching" the front motor mount and grinding the block some to make the DSM manifolds fit. I dont think i will have to do this since its a different manifold and turbo all together but my question is..

How in the world do you "ditch" the front motor mount??? Are people making brackets of some kind? or literally they just take it off.

You just take it off. It isn't really a problem because you have 3 more mounts.

There are two minor side effects
    1. The engine will tend to rock more on hard shifts and such
    2. It will put more stress on the other mounts

The proper way of "ditching the front mount" is to take out the other three mounts, clean them thoroughly and fill them with polyurethane (there are plenty of write-ups how to do it on the web) This way the other three mounts will be much stiffer and much more durable.
If you don't want to do that, you can just buy stiff aftermarket mounts.

As for manifolds, the log style are sufficient for moderate power goals. Also, most aftermarket DSM manifolds can be made to fit. And $80 OBX? OBX manifolds are around 300 last time I checked?

      Manifold/Turbo:
DNP like this one. It is DSM. drilled for the F22/H23.

But block still needs to be ground down. It's a DSM setup and not meant for our cars.
The size of the turbo will make your determination if you need to grind the block.
But most likely you WILL have to.

      Mounts:
I ran all stock mounts without being poly filled, removed the front one with no replacement and killed the OEM shocks.
Also a DIY for a front Mountain Bike shock for a torque dampner if your mentality suits it.

Thanks guys! Guess im not too concerned about ditching that mount then. And damn that mtn bike shock is a pretty slick idea..

And no not $80 but they are on ebay for like 150... and id hate to have it crack etc. Its a you get what you pay for situation definitely. From what ive read online i should steer clear from them.

And YES! Thats very close the the DNP one i plan on getting, only im going for the one with the t3 flange and external 44mm wastegate.

And yes i know the log will be fine up to a point. But with a new car that was practically given to me, i have the choice/duty of putting the accord down for awhile for a new build, and basically.. right now i dont mind shelling out some extra dough for that sexy stainless manifold. I love stainless especially when the heat stains come in .

ANybody have experience with the specific DNP one i speak of? And also drummersteve how is that manifold? Is it a quality piece and holding up? They are around $600 which is a happy medium between ebay $150 and the $1200 ones offered ha

Manifold is awesome, it is DNP. I have zero issues. Wish I would have gotten it with an external wastegate tho

Where can I find a pic of where to grind the block I searchdd it but its kind of hard to narrow it down I'm about to slap on a dsm kit also. And I know to make the manni fit you have to gring out one of the exhust holes which one is it?

You take an F22A exhaust manifold gasket, put it on the DSM manifold and then you will see which holes need to be redrilled. You need a drill press to do it.

Then after you redrill the DSM manifold, you bolt your turbo to it and put it on your engine, you'll see right away where you need to grind the block (it will be one of the mounting holes for the front mount)
