    possible turbo goals

im wondering i plan on rebuilding my f22 and boosting it. also keeping her a daily. i have 2 goals in mind both i need some suggestions on what exactly i need. the 1st idea i have in mind is to rebuild the motor using oe parts, possibly honda oem parts. boosting at 15 psi(max). the 2nd goal i have wich seems a bit more better for me is to rebuild the motor using oe or honda oem parts and trying to get close to 250whp. any suggestions on wich would be easier to achieve and more reliable for a daily??

250whp is a pretty doable goal especially on a rebuilt motor I'm actually going for 220whp on a 150k f22a6 so brand new 250whp is good with a proper tune of course. Now as for the 15psi I would have to know which turbo your going with but even then I could probably tell you unless its a 14b you wont need to run 15psi to reach your goal and even with that turbo you could still reach it before that. I honestly wouldn't go over 12psi if you're running anything bigger than a .48 trim compressor to be on the safe side.

ok so ive been doing some research and i hopefully got this right i found a Turbo Calculator Horsepower and Airflow. im wondering if i got this right. i put in hp what i want to make and itll calculate everything for me. so with that info hp-250, cubic feet per minute-375, pounds per min-30.263, cubic meters/seconds-0.1770, kg/seconds-0.2293. now i have to look on the turbo maps and find out which turbo is centered at 30.263?? if thats the case will this t3/t4r ball bearing, compressor Exd Wheel Diameter 75mm 57 trim, turbine wheel diameter 65mm 76 trim.

Based on my calculations, youre pressure ratio is 2.49. Basically 2.5. This is with 95%VE, 250hp goal, and at 6000rpm.

Lol, yea 250hp is easily in the daily range. My earlier post was more of a reference to the turbo you posted. The gt28's look like they would better suit your build.

250whp should be easy even without a rebuild

if your engine is well maintained, should be pretty reliable at 250whp

I mean it's not like you will be launching it at 7,000rpm at bouncing off the rev limit at every traffic light...

Normal daily driving plus some occasional spirited runs - should be plenty reliable at that power level.

Concentrate on making your setup more efficient, that way you will reach 250whp at lower boost. I am talking about things like routing your turbo inlet away from high heat areas, no bottle necks in your exhaust, external wastegate, sufficient intercooling, and a good tune.

Just don't half-ass anything. It will only be as reliable as you make it to be.
