It's not just the turbo that's cheap... ebay "turbo kits" usually have manifolds that are junk and if it's for a cb7, the piping will most likely have to be modified anyway...all in all, it would be wiser (maybe more expensive) to piece together your own kit. Actually I would stay far away from any Ebay "turbo kits", it's hard enough when you have quality parts to get the car running the way you would like it to run...trust me

May I suggest a treadstone kit.

Its not the best but a decent starter if your looking just to upgrade things.

the ebay kit is just a universal kit with a manifold for our car.also the bovs are notorious for leaking.and the wastegates sometimes dont open.the turbos like to get blowby after the first 1k miles which is when it breaks in.theonly thing worth it is the gauges and the piping..

so something like this would be more reliable? i plan on running it on a rebuild a6 with stock internals and around 8-10 psi

I've had my full eBay turbo kit for a year and three months now. So far so good. Hitting rev limit every time I drive it.
If the weather stays nice, I'm thinking about porting the eBay manifold a bit more and disassembling the turbocharger and the wastegate for inspection. I'll post some pics if anyone is interested.

Its the stainless steel turbo ebay mani's that are junk...They crack.....The cast iron Logs are okay....If you do get a ebay kit make sure its that and not a stainless one
