Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Junkyard swap

Looking at doing what is called a junkyard swap. Pretty much you get a turbo and intercooler out of vehicle and use that on yours. Obviously get piping and other needed things. But one question I have before doing this is what kind of boost should I run on a completely stock engine. I have not done any rebuild to the original motor so not too sure if I should even try this kind of thing.

Also I use this car as a daily driver and have thought about putting in a H22 and then putting a turbo on that. anyone have suggestions on this idea for either. Maybe some past experience and such.

Wow, you haven't read or searched for anything in any of the performance sections of this forum have you? I'm not going to spoon feed you information if you can't look even a little bit for yourself. That being said. Do a search for "dsm turbo setup.". That will help you with what you're wanting to know.
