Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

      hey they work just fine....dsm people boost up to 15+psi on those things...so its good enough for when me/you wanna run 8-9psi

      just dont put it where the battery is like you say you want to...its gonna get too hot in there...mount it where i did...where the stock resonator was...eric your such a hater you tool...hahahha worked fine for me

              haha ive actually seen it today on ebay and was thinking about getting it but i just want a damn front mount, cus dude once u have turbo you WILL want front mount. the stock intercooler on 1.8t i had was just as big and i ran 19psi every day spiking at 21 with decent engine intake tempratures, if i can find a log file somehwere i did with a VAG-COM but i remeber the engine air intake temperatures were not bad at all. I never upgraded the vw intercooler for 2 reasons it cost 900 bux for good piping and a spearco core kit, small one did the job. for accord im definelty looking for a spearco front mount. and a question for u turbo guys, what size fmic worked for ya is it possible to use stock evo8 or srt4 fmic?

                ummm...guys...it doesn't have anything to do with the amount of boost. Its just like eric said higher charge temps. DSM's run rich and retarded......and if u happen to use my map with an SMIC you definately stand the chance of detonating. The timing will have to be lowered another 2-3* just to be safe and by that time u would have lost MUCH performance. Oh well...

                  WRONG ! the twin intercooler system in bumper vents S4 used could leave evos and srt4 jealous just because the path air travles is short and those intercoolers flow awesome amnts of air efficiently.

                            umm not a lot fo cars actually have HUGE front mounts stock! and auid s4 has 2 turbos, thus two half sized intercoolers def do a better job then one. no the a4, vws and ,tt's have the intercoole in the right whell well, there is usually a grill looking thing in the wheel well covering them.

                              thats not necessarily true. there are a lot of reason why stock cars dont have huge FMIC. and efficiency is not one of them. its the same reason they use rediculously small turbos on factory cars.

                                but these could be
                                1. higher production cost
                                2. most stock turbos do not run at their peak potential anyway
