From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    cheap boost build....

Here's what I'm thinking I'm going to do a dsm setup..... basically on a stock motor. I was thinking arp head studs 8 pounds of boost. Nothing crazy.I need it for all the extra wight in my car I'm not big on H's I'd rather just boost my car anyhow any input would be great I need to find a ecu that's been tuned. But other then that I think I'll be good with a dsm Turbo setup and some headstuds what do you guys think? This isn't for racing more just there if I need it kinda thing so no crazy boost on the motor....

Finding a tuned ECU will do nothing for you unless it's been tuned while in your car for your car. Every car is different and even if we had the same setups the tunes would still vary.

Boosting your car to make it a better daily driver isn't really sound logic. I think that if low-end torque was your goal while maintaining absolute drivability then an F23A bottom end and an M2S4 transmission might be better suited.

Its not a daily driven car. I only drive it to meets and shows and sometimes on the weekend..... sounds like ill need to take it to a shop and have it tuned then.....

Jerrett do you mean keeping the f22 head and swapping a f23 bottom? I didn't know you could do that I thought that was a f23 bottom with a h22 head.... if I can keep it single cam that might be a option....

why dont you just build it right the first way and then you dont have to worry about later. get some sleves, pistons and a tune and your good. if you wanna play you gotta pay.

you sir are going to have to do a little bit more research. As mentioned finding a tuned ECU will do nothing for you if it's not tuned specifically for your car. Head studs are just a minor piece of the puzzle too.

........I'm not building a race car so I have no need to go all crazy building a motor I just need a bit more power and so going Turbo is how I plan on doing it..... ie a cheap Turbo build... I have no intrest in going fast.... just keeping up with average cars.... I like single cams.I care more about being able to pull up a hill then speed... I have a shit ton of wight in my car and am on a budget. I'm open to ideas but I don't need a crazy built motor for 8 pounds of boost lol like I said I'm "not building a race car"

Boosting a stock motor with a bunch of miles on it is a bad idea, even 8 psi is going to be hard on a stock bottom end, you will break a ringland maybe in 2 weeks maybe in a year.but chances are good it'll happen

                    Cheap,reliable,fast

the words "cheap" and "turbo" dont go well together, something bad is bound to happen with a cheap turbo build

Just for clarification, my bottom end suggestion was an alternative to the boost idea as it will generate more low-end torque, not as a different way of completing a build for boost.

                              Yah I know that's why I asked if you mean swapping a f head on a f23 block? I have extra f22's and a f23 I can get that's sitting at a friends house....
