Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

H22 rods in an F22 block

So I've got a question. I'm gonna link a thread that goes in detail about using forged H22 rods along with forged 4g63 pistons to make a close to stock compression ratio on the F22.

    http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2546957

Instead of using an H22 rod with a length of 5.633 in, would it be ok to use a rod length of 5.630 in? This would make the total block deck height 8.630, giving that I used the same Wiseco pistons he used.

I will be boosting the motor these internals will go in with a Evo Big 16g turbo.

    Thanks

    I dont know booost ,
But using the shorter rods will lower your compression which should mean more boost potential .
other than that it's the same as what you read up on .

The difference of .003" in the measurements of a rod is so insignificant that I would not worry about it. You may find that you have two rods from the same set that vary by nearly that much.

And what are asking in reference to? Will what be okay?

Will it be ok to use those length rods compared to what the guy from the thread I linked used. And i guess your answer is yes. Thank you for the response.

deck the block .003 to zero it out. it should be decked anyways if youre boosting it.
