From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    benifits of porting?

    so what are the benifits of porting th 14b turbo is it just to spool up faster?
    Im just curious cause i have a guy who is willing to sell me a completly ported 14b+mani for 120 jus want to know if its really worth it.

    in theory better airflow, however you can also fuck up a good designed airflow by porting something, let alone if the person knows what they are doing

      the guy got it done by a shop so i would think it should be straight

        usually porting allows the turbo to flow more efficiently and flow more cfm's than stock. It may even spool a bit faster. I think thats a good deal tho assuming the manifold is flawless...but ported 1g manifolds are prone to crack when stock...even more so when ported. May wanna find out if the 02 housing is ported also

          i know that the the turbo itself is completly ported including the O2 housing i dont know about the mani thought
