Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Cam Gear tuning?

I have an AEM 3 bolt cam gear and i would like to know if there is a certain way of tuning it to maximun performance for my car before i BLOW the motor (if thats possible).
I think the numbers go from -4 to 4. Can I have it set to all three bolts set on 4 or is there a number that can do it with a diffrent number

    *Please give feedback*

cam gear tuning can only be done on the dyno really. Read the "tips, myths, and truths" sticky and you'll understand what the cam gears tune if you don't already

so it doesnt matter to set it at +4 because that might not be the right setting

I'd never go that far on a blind tune (undynoed). If you want to set it safely go for no more then +1 or -1. Like MRX said, the best way to know what the best settings are is to take your car to a dyno and have it tuned there.

or +2/-2 perhaps idk man I'm going tomarow to go have i changed and they dont have a dyno. so if i blind tune it i would like to know to go with +1 or -1 or if i can +2 or -2. Is it possible to have the three bolts a different number? What is the difference (performance wise) between a positive and the negative number (+2/-2) i wont go to a dyno for a while so i would like to know what number.

            Thank you
