can i use a turbo of a 1jz?? my boy offered me one of his turbos from his twin setup...but im not sure what out come could come with that u noe...so anybody noe if i can use that?

I hope 280z is not refering to Nissan. 1JZ and 2JZ are both Supra motors. He is talking about the CT26. It can work but you will need to make a custom manifold. Also it would not be a bad idea to get some 550cc injectors. I know the Supra uses 440ccs but all that air has 6 cylinders to go through vs. the 4 cylinders we have. Do you know any Lexus's SC300's that came in America with a turbo? The motor you are reffering to has no T in it. The T in the engine code means there is a turbo. Both turbo motors have small CT25s or CT26's powering them depending on the year. Personally, I would prefer the big CT26 from the 3S-GTE in the MR2. It has been known to put out 400 whp with only a compressor upgrade, and will boost from just under 3K to redline.
Other motors that come with the large CT26 are the 5M-, 6M, and 7M-GTE Supra single turbo motors. The date range is 86?-92. The compressor map is awesome for the F series motors and it would put out much more power than the DSM setup. I am here for the same reasons you are 92ex. To share and learn some informations to better all of us. I theorized this turbo kit before i went with the DSM kit only because the parts for this kit had to be completely fabricated and I was not willing to wait so long for all these parts. I may still do it in the future. My theorized kit goes as follows:
Big CT26 turbo
550 injectors
2.5 charge piping
Custom equal length Manifold
3" DP
Uber or Aem Standalone
Block Rebuild
The Big CT26 had been able to flow close to 600cfm on the Mr2 motors after the compressor and cartridge upgrade.Comment

ok i was talking about the 1jz-gte that came in jdm soarers. my boy just swapped his sc400 and he got some parts left over, now i ran thru my niggas shop, and talked to the ***** that did the swap, he said, maybe i should use the 7m turbo becouse its so much bigger and flows better.... my bois twins are pretty small, and i dont think they will give me much of a difference... i guess.
among the things i'm getting are 4 1jzgte injectors i think they are 370's can i used these? kev( the guy that swapped the motor), told me to find out something if my honda injectors are low pass...or low frequency or something...
im also getting either one small twin, or 1 big ct26 that needs a rebuild.
im also getting a skyline intercooler, and misc. piping. i dont noe what dp to go with cus i have 2 3/4" piping from the flex. should i get a 3" dp or a 2 3/4" dp??
any comment?? btw i plan on doing a f22ax block rebuild and full port and polish h23 head. with a chipped ecu, for now.Comment

Like I said before if you use the large CT26 build the block. If you are the small CT20, It may not give that much extra power due to its small stature. However it should spool up quickly and barely harm stock internals.Comment

^^^^^^ thats exactl what i thought, i was going to do a big ass turbo motor rebuilt and shit but looking at the cost of shit these days im going to need a lot more loose change. imk not using the ct20 anymore cus my it's kinda on the small side, instead my boy came trhu with a 20g, and some guy i noe wants to trade me for his 18g, but if anyone wants the 20g i'll trade for a smaller turbo...btw anyone noe anything aboput the german turbo series kkk? i herd they are good and i found a good one, but i dont noe much about it.. is this a good turbo, how does it compare to a t3 or 16g?? it comes out the mid 90's audi quatro...Comment
