Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Sequential Turbochargers

I was wondering if it's possible to put sequential turbos on our cb7s. Just doing some random thinking

I was just wondering how different they are from regular turbos, like if they're more efficient and what not, but i guess they aren't

why would you even need 2 turbos on a 4 cylinder? honestly . . . a 14b spools by 2500 RPM's . . . thats barely high enough to stay out of boost during daily driving. I dont really see any advantages of it at all.

i was doing research on this a whyle back cause i was gunnna ttemp it... i realized quikly that theres literally no point in it... it would just be a waste of tyme and $$ exceot 4 the fact that it would be unique... even if you went with a t3/t04e lyke my setup, i still start to see boost at about 3200ish and it can pull hard to redlyne if you really crank up the boost.... if you had lyke a big ass t4 and put a smaller like t3 or something aboyu tthat size to spool you at lower rpms, you would actually loose efficiency at higher boost levels and engine speeds because the smaller turbo would be soo restrictive that would need a rediculously huge wastegate to dump into the second turbo... you would actually be better off and possible even net more top end power with only the t3/to4e on its own.... i mean, if your lookin to hit crazyy HP #s, then your really lookin at a track car anyways, and when your at the track, or any type of streeet racing even, your launchin your car in the 4000-5000rpm range anyways, so those low rpm gains you get twith the seq. turbos wouldnt help AT ALL..... you can throw a freakin T78 on that bad boy and stillll be better off than a small and a larger turbo because of thier low efficiency.... i mean shyt,,, almost all the full drag cars out these runnin engines lyke the 2jz of the rb26 convert to one huuggee as turbo as opposed to twin turbo... that has 2 mean sumthin on its own... only tyme you really see guys keep the twin turbo setup and upgrade it, is for road racing and time attack and such since the 2 smaller snails give you better low end response... thats also on 6 cyl. too..... sorry 4 ramblin on, just figured i'ld add my $.02...

i think the seqential twin turbo setup on th rx7s is pretty neat, because rotary engines have no torque whatsoever downlow so it helps them out a bunch. i see no point doing soemthing like this on a 4cyl due to effieciency issues and lack of space for this setup.

Best advice in this thread yet. And good facts/bashing of my most hated rival...
