    can't set psi

hey ive been having trouble boosting my car at a set psi. the set up is jdm f22b, dsm t25, dsm manifold, dsm smic...
my car has been spiking to 15psi so i tried swapping in a new wastegate but now its around 10-11 psi... i have the vacuum source all by itself on the intake manifold...what can i do to keep it at 6-7 psi? thanks

Boost controller? It sounds like its wastegate controlled right now.

i think the stock wastegate setting on that turbo is like 7.8psi. The only way to make it lower is to do the actuator mod. Other than the the boost controller isn't going to do a thing. Probably would have been better off without it if u just wanted 6-7psi

Boost creep is my guess. With that small of a turbo/wastegate on the 2.2dohc its probably overwhelming them with exhaust. Just upgrade to a bigger turbo, problem solved If not, good luck fixing it, 15 psi isn't the best for the stock motor. L8r

make sure u dont have an exhuast leak between the turbo/manfold... or manifold/head... this can cause boost spikes.... boost creep would only occurer from a turbine housing too small, or a wastegate too small...

o2 housing needs to be ported, along with a bigger flapper... I experience boost creep also, but only to 10psi... and you have a t25, so that sounds right

alright well i have a slight exhaust leak where the downpipe bolts up to the o2 housing... is this something that would add to my boost creep?
the vacuum source is off the intake manifold right to the wastegate... i tried keeping it as tight as possible... can i run a vaccuum line to the nipple off the turbo housing itself? does the size of the line matter? Thanks

definitely fix that leak. also, you're gonna have to extend that wastegate arm

try moving the wastegate vaccume line to a source BEFORE the intake manifold, aka the compressor housing. i always got a 1-2psi spike when i had my vaccume line directly into my intake manifold.

as midnite said..a boost controller will NOT help you here

quick q, if i just weld where the actuator connects shut, i can just use an external wg and boost controller to solve this, correct? or did i read up wrong?

double that will help you out a lil bit!
get that vac. line as close to the compressor as you can, i have a vac. fitting built right into the end of my compressor side...
