Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Free Beer

Hey i know that got ur attention haha. I posted this a few days ago and noone answered my plea's for help.

Whats up people im mike and im new here ive been reading for freaking months and my eyes hurt haha. Anyways Check it im wanting to do the dsm setup on my 91 lx cb7 stock f22a1, 14b maybe 16g turbo 10 psi and uberdata. But YO i dunno how to work this uberdata and i dont wanna blow my shit up. ive seen some base maps that should get me up and running. But my lack of tuning skill has me scared as hell. Is there anyone here in Oklahoma that knows what they are doing as far as tuning uberdata ? (Chuck Seitsinger) yeah the race guy's shop is about 4 miles from me and he dont know how to tune i or rather he has this guy tony fly up from TX. but he want's me to drop $500 for hondata s300 tune with and $50 for the chipping of the ecu. then the tuning! and im sure that a pretty penny in its self. I wish you guys would make a guide for uberdata tuning. What the values are based on what the numbers in the tables mean, stuff like that. So far from my reading and playing with the uber i know how to change the data but im not sure at to what it relates to i can add and subtract 10% here and there but what's that 10 % based on ? As you can see i really want to learn this. id rather spend that 600 bucks on other shit like tires lol Sorry for the long post.... Any one her from OKC that can help a guy out ??? Thanks...

Just need a hand to understand uberdata !

HERE!!! Welcome to CB7tuner, where people won't answer lazy questions. Like Chile hinted, search. Next time around, search before you post. This link has been handed out more than free condoms at a hospital.

          P.S. For Uber's specifics, go to pgmfi.org.

The best way to learn is to actually do it. You won't really know how until you try it for yourself.

All those numbers are just values, which I dont think you really have to know what they are, but as long as you know what values to mess with, and at what vaccum, you should be fine. Trial and error is the best way to learn.

Here's a suggestion, get 2 chips, burned with the same map, from whoever you want to buy them from. One is so you can learn to tune yourself, and if you fuck up, then just plug the other one back in. You will learn as time goes by. Thats how everyone that tunes now learns. well, the ones that didnt go to school for it atleast.

kinda agree with d112crzy...the lessons remembered are the ones hardest learned...i think we've all been there at some point.

yeah ive been playing with uberdtata and looking at many different base maps and the range that the values are in. Im not really seeing a pattern there ha but guess that cus different motors have different needs as far as fuel and ing goes.i did find a few other good forums im reading now. But still looking for fellow okies having the same problems i am. There are a few tuners here but they only touch hondata and aem ems. FORGET THAT !! 600- 2000 bucks lol that whats way more than my entire setup. I might would go with hondata but the shop that works with that dont even tune they have a guy come every now and then to do it. http://www.alternativemotorsports.com/main.html is one of the few places around. Chuck has great prices on as far as oem parts and installs go but that does me no good. My biggest worrie i think is i dont want to buy all this shit for my turbo and start to istall it all then cant drive the damn thing seeing its my daily driver. and my only road block is the tuning. I can do all the rest myself, would be nice if someone here in okc that has done this before could show me how its done either on there car or mine. worst case seniero is i get an damn fmu seeing its easy enough then play with uberdata untill i get that figured out. Just cant afford to be down for more than 2 days..
