slightly diff. turbo = diff. fab work?

if i get a t25 from a 96 tsi istead of from a 1st gen eclipse would i still only have to notch the crossmember and slightly dent in the oil pan in order to make gsx down pipe fit?

well yeah the turbo outter dimendsion and positioning is virtually the same as 14b, uses same styling o2 housing thus yeah u'll be able to use it. now i do not recommend using that turbo because ive yet to see a bigger POS turbo in my life. at max efficiency it flows 290 cfms while 14b does 400 and some. problem numero dos is that the t25 air outlet has a retarded bend on it which will dump air out on the apposite side of where u want it to go not mentioning the fact that it wont clear the clutch slave cylinder without being clocked.

also there is no need to dent the oilpan for gsx downpipe id u do the way i did it , extending the shorter part by about 5 inches. honestly the only reason i did is because i might have gotten a diff dp the acclipseh23 cuz it just didnt look like there was any way in hell it would fit without extending it before the bend.

iight thanx for the look out man i guess i just stay clear of it

buttt since this thread is basicaly unless now ill ask a nother question......

wat i was thinkin of doin which im shure somones done befor is instead of buyin a gsx downpipe i was thinkin of just getting a downpipe flange and have an exhaust shop bend me the down pipe while there bending my exhuast.... i searched and found that flange...but my problem is i can only find them in 3 inch and i cant run a 3 inch downpipe with the condition of the streets i drive on....so my question is does anyone know where i can get my hands on a 2.5 downpipe flange thatl fit a 14b?
and a nother question is would this be cheaper than buyin the gsx down pipe?
cuz i would rather have to run a 3 inch gsx down pipe and hope for the best than have to pay extra

are you looking for the o2 housing? If so, then just go to some junkyard and get it.

thx much!, thats exactly wat i was lookin for.

question remains ?which would be cheaper?

buy $100(give or take) gsx down pipe

or by the $10 flange and have an exhuast shop make one while im havin my exhuast done

                second choice^^ im guessing.

I mean, you can really look around your town and find someone that can do it for real cheap. shouldnt be more than 80bux, i mean, to just weld on a muffler to stock piping is like 25-30bux around here.

gsx pipe man ! 2 reasons:
                  1. stainless
                  2. its mandrel bent
Have u ever seen a 3" pipe bent by an exhaust shop? it aint pretty, diamter of the bend itself is no more then 2.25" lol. so if u go custom route go to kteller.com and buy bends and have them weld the bends for u !

wait, this just hit me, why are you gona use a t25?

ur gona waste all that money and shit, and then use a t25?

                      u should rethink this.

well then go crush bent, save more money that way, right?

doesnt make sense. Ur gona spend most on your dp and exhaust, than on ur turbo, thats not very smart man. Just go out and look for a 14b, im sure u can get one for around 100 or less.
