Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

SO now im split between a t3 and a big 16g. Anyone have an idea for me thats not based on personal opinion. My reasoning for getting the 16g is that i dont think that i will be maxing out the turbo because i will be staying with stock internals(and the 16g i want is rated at 380hp) but i know i will be getting more power at 8psi on a t3 than 8psi on a 16g but cant i just turn the boost up on the 16g and were back to even. T3's are ball ass expensive brand new(Compared to the 16g) and i would like to get a new turbo because i would prefer not to fuck with shaft play and all that other crap that goes along with a used turbo. So i guess my main question is: Is everyone who is telling me to get a t3 baseing that on the fact that the T3 has a much better potential or the fact that the t3 will give me much better proformance now? Thanks people.

theres so many trims of T3's that everything you said could be incorrect or totally correct just by how the turbo is sized.

Either the 16G or a T3 60-trim...I think they're about the same size and make the same power...

does anyone have any experience with this turbo. The article makes it sound amazing (which it was supposed to do) but i was wondering if anyone had any non-biased opinions or experiences with it. Thanks people.

16g all the way. you already have the manifold. look at Iamanonymous' setup. Tuned right it could make good power.

Sparkle what would you do if you were me? Im on a budget and i have the DSM manifold already. Rebuilt t3 from that one website? Help me out man I have only turboed a lancer which had balls tiny rods so the only turbo to put on there was a t25 or a t28 but now that theres so many different ways to go Im split.

if your on a budget dont get a dsm tubo point blank how much are you ookin to spend in your budget ? do you want your setup to actually last rather than deal with the fact if you get your turbo used for the seals to go the next day. Get a real turbo get a t3/t4 to help you in the top end aswell as midrange. The t3 with the 60 trip would work out slightly better than the 16g the 16g will fall flat on its face after about 6 and it will be slightly harder to make power than a t3 would. so i would go with the t3/t4 or in your car just the t3. Thats why i never went for the t25 or ehh the 14b
