Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Engine Management??

What should I do about the ECU? turboedit, crome, uberdata, etc?

    Should I do Standalone?

Maybe I should start with what I have. Weisco Pistons, Carillo rods, big 16g, dsm setup, and I plan to run it about 15lbs daily. I know people on the forums just chip the ecu, but i want it to be dynod. What have you done to finetune it? what setup? Thanks! Help me out!

You can still dyno and have a chipped ecu. If you are going to build your block, why would you go with a dsm setup? You might as well not build the engine.

Anyways, uberdata will do just fine. Only thing is, you have to go to a dyno that knows uberdata whether it be you or the people that work there, or else the dyno is useless.

If you don't know uberdata and arent willing to learn, then just go to your dyno and ask what THEY tune with best and go with that.

I doubt any dyno will know uberdata. Turboedit is for obd0. Crome is another option. For spending that much money on the block, you should get a better turbo to utilize it. You can tune uberdata yourself, it's a matter of understanding it and experience. If you want a shop to tune it, look into hondata or something
