Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Turbo with 220 mi?

I've been thinking lately about just turboing my stock F22 instead of a swap. But the problem is my F22 has about 220+ miles on it. BUT....the car belonged to my mother, who was the original owner. And the car's never been in an accident, always inspected on time, blah blah blah........ So would it still be a bad idea? I mean over time I would replace things like the cam and pistons and what not, so it could possibly hold up right?

Well the first thing to go with a motor that high mileage even if its well maintained would be the rings. its boostable just need to run a conservative amount.

Ok thanx, cuz the turbo kits around for the F22 are fairly cheap and the labor on it will probably be a lot cheaper than a swap. Then I can have a sleeper. What kind of bhp do you think I can get? If the compression and leak down test comes out good is 225 safe?

consider peacing together your own kit and installing it yourself
