Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

co i need a flex pipe

I was wondering how many people are running a flex pipe on the turbo exhuast. I dont ahve one right now but, I am upgrading and want to know the benifits

Well so the engine doesnt yank the crap out of your pipe. You notice your engine move back and forth, well w/o the flex pipe I would say the pipe would be in constant motion and that would eventually mess it up. Put on a flex pipe it will dampen those and prevent your exhaust from leaking or letting the metal get fatigued.

listen to the man. Don't be stupid, get a flex pipe or watch your exhaust leaving you in your rear view mirror one day.

i was runnnig my first boosted motor without one, bottomed out one day on the DP and ripped the exhaust (like broke the pipe) right off the turbo. Ya so i wasnt impressed...they are pretty cheap and something that is definately a good investment
