Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

What are the benfits/gains of porting the turbo system? Depending on what supporting mods you have and how much boost you run, this porting will give you anywhere between 10 to 35 hp. Naturally, the more restrictions you have already removed from other areas (exhaust system, intake, IC pipes, intercooler, etc...) the more power this porting will uncork. It will also allow you to run more boost because the turbo effectively acts like a bigger turbo. It will usually eliminate any boost creep problems you might have had (because of the wastegate porting) and in most cases it will still spool much faster (depending on how much you port). It also lowers your intake temps because the turbo doesnt have to work so hard to supply the same amount of air (and another benefit of this is better gas mileage... if you can keep your foot off the floor). There are also nearly zero downsides to porting, unlike alot of other mods where you have to give one thing up to gain another (and most of the time the thing you give up gets annoying after a while).
