Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    oil lines

is the oil feed line supposed to be smaller or larger than the oil return line? i have a turbo that has a large opening at the top and a small opening at the bottom...i was told that the feed line was supposed to go in through the top and the return line was supposed to come out the bottom...if this is true then i am out $1000 dollars because i dont have the money to buy a top mount turbo manifold...

I would think the bigger line is return since you want oil pressure to go into the turbo hence the smaller line. And you want a big hole for your return. But thats my thinkin since its somewhat similar to hydraulic machinery but yea I could be wrong.

      what turbo do you have?

usually smaller line (top of turbo)- feed
bigger line (bottom of turbo)- drain

drain line is gravity powered, so it is bigger to allow more oil to drain, feed line is smaller so that it creates more oil pressure for the bearing im guessing...

The top one little one is the feed
and obviously the bottom is a drain.
