Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Exhaust Question

    SO i ordered a 3" catback exhaust...

It gets here so i remove my old exhaust...go to bolt the new one up and it doesnt fit!!!

Will it be ok to run my turbo f22a1 without an exhaust till next week?

I would guess not, due to backpressure, and whatnot, but i'm not positive.

Why did you order a 3" catback? Did you upgrade your catalytic converter? The 3" aint gonna bolt up to the stock cat lol.

x2 ...If you dont have a full bolt on system then you're going to have to get 3" custom piping.

i dont think it would be bad, real high end performance cars run open turbo(not street)
so i dont see how u not having exhaust would affect it in a neg way

Not my fault my dick only fits magnums.

As long as you run open after the cat you should be fine. You should be more worried if the po po gives a crap about the sound levels and yea its gonna be pretty loud.

haha it is pretty loud..but the turbo covers it up pretty well and makes it sound decent.

I cant wait to get my 3" on.

You can run open header, but expect tickets. My boy has a turbo Spec V and ran it open header for 4 mos. before he got exhaust.

From what I've gathered, no it won't damage anything. Just be careful of the cops, and you'll probably feel some power loss.

no he would get power gains or same, cuz he would be running atleast downpipe, but am sure it wont loose any power.
