Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Places to find custom turbo parts

I've been looking for a turbo kit for my 91 LX, but I've been foiled everywhere. Anyone know of a good kit, or am I going to have to build this thing myself?

I think we need to sticky that I know there is at least one kit for the F22... and a couple for the H22 swap.

I know it's kind of late, but you can probably piece a kit together for the F22 and save yourself a substantial amount of money!

The expensive items are going to be the Turbo, and the manifold! After that.....you can either piece things together through forum sales, or Ebay!

South Florida Performance can make a turbo manifold for the F22 although they don't list it on the web page. www.sfp.net

Check this site www.turbocalculator.com for good prices on remanufactured turbos.

I you'd like the car to run like it came with the turbo from the factory, I would suggest a Hondata system! Depending on the level of boost, you may or may not need injectors, fuel pump, FPR and what not.
      Only one purpouse.....to go FASTER!

      0-60MPH: 15.2 sec
      1/4 Mile: 9.54 min
      60-0MPH: Too damn long!

        bleh..
lets do this numerically shall we??

1.yeh.. i wouldnt sticky that.. unless u want to send cb7 members to purposely spend more money than is needed..

2.regardless how low the boost is .. its always smart to upgrade injectors ur injectors with 150k on them arnt necessaraly up to par and even with 6psi of boost id still get some dsm 450cc.

3.u sound more so to be on a budget.. since ur asking for just a turbo not a turbo kit..

for a budget stand point.. a dsm 1g manifold and 14b are a good way to introduce yourself to boost

the manifold bolts on with some redrilling of the bolt holes..

4.as for management.. thats up to you.. if your on a budget yet again.. a piggy back would be fine safc,e-manage,etc if you got some cash to blow go hondata.. or wanna actually spend less and do shit yourself... buy a p06 ecu, download uberdata and start burning ur own roms to run ur car..

If you are still looking for a turbo kit I may consider selling mine for the right price. Been weighing my options lately due to my motor needing rebuilt. Here's a list of my setup incase your interested.

-TD05 turbo (from 1st gen talon)
-custom built stainless steel manifold (all mandrel bend tubing)
          -steel braided oil lines
-johnny racecar 6"x35" front mount intercooler
          -3" mandrel bend intercooler tubing
-turbo xs blow off (type h super rfl)
          -msd 6btm ignition
          -missing link
          -vortech 12:1 fmu
-blitz dual stage turbo timer/boost gauge
          -hallman manual boost controller
          -dsm 450cc injectors
-custom downpipe (will bolt directly to your stock cat)

This setup will bolt directly to your car with no relocation of any major components (except to battery due to intercooler tubing). The only thing you will need to buy is a walbro 255lph fuel pump. I'm gonna keep mine due to it being a pain in the ass to swap out. You will also need some vaccum line. If you are interested in making an offer or have any questions you can email me at boost_92@hotmail.com

That 14B turbo off the 1st gen dsm is definetly the way to go for boosted accords IMO. That looks like a really nice setup, and the turbo xs rfl (real fuckin loud) BOV will scare the shit out of pedestrians, my buddy had one on his SRT4 (he replaced it with the GReddy Type-S). Just make sure to lubricate it every 10K miles (every 3 oil changes), I've heard that the piston thing in it can seize, which would either create a huge boost leak (if it seizes while open) or it won't open at all (say hello to compressor surge). Good luck finding a kit tho, and boost_92's kit looks like the way to go!
